Threatened Species: The following list includes all mammals which occur in Azerbaijan and are rated as Critically Endangered (CR), Endangered (EN) or Vulnerable (VU) in the 2004 IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals

  • Critically Endangered:
    • Armenian Birch Mouse  (Sicista armenica).
  • Vulnerable:
    • Argali (Ovis ammon). 
    • Bechstein's Bat (Myotis bechsteini).
    • Caspian Seal (Phoca caspica).
    • East Caucasian Tur (Capra cylindricornis). 
    • Eurasian Otter (Lutra lutra). 
    • Geoffroy's Bat (Myotis emarginatus).
    • Lesser Horseshoe Bat (Rhinolophus hipposideros).
    • Mediterranean Horseshoe Bat (Rhinolophus euryale).
    • Mehely's Horseshoe Bat (Rhinolophus mehelyi).
    • Mouflon (or Urial) (Ovis orientalis).
    • Western Barbastelle (Barbastella barbastellus).
    • Wild Goat (Capra aegagrus).
