Threatened Species: The following list includes all mammals which occur in Zimbabwe and are rated as Critically Endangered (CR), Endangered (EN) or Vulnerable (VU) in the 2004 IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals.

Critically Endangered:
- Black Rhinoceros (Diceros bicornis).
Endangered:
- Wild Dog (Lycaon pictus).
Vulnerable:
- African Elephant (Loxodonta africana).
- Cape Horseshoe Bat (Rhinolophus capensis).
- Cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus).
- East African Collared Fruit Bat (Myonycteris relicta).
- Kenyan Big-eared Free-tailed Bat (Tadarida lobata).
- Large-eared Free-tailed Bat (Otomops martiensseni).
- Lion (Panthera leo).
- Red Bush Squirrel (Paraxerus palliatus).
- Spotted-necked Otter (Lutra maculicollis).
