Threatened Species: The following list includes all mammals which occur in Tajikistan and are rated as Critically Endangered (CR), Endangered (EN) or Vulnerable (VU) in the 2004 IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals.

Endangered:
- Markhor (Capra falconeri).
- Snow Leopard (Uncia uncia).
- Tiger (Panthera tigris).
Vulnerable:
- Argali (Ovis ammon).
- Dhole (Cuon alpinus).
- Eurasian Otter (Lutra lutra).
- Lesser Horseshoe Bat (Rhinolophus hipposideros).
- Menzbier's Marmot (Marmota menzbieri).
- Mouflon (or Urial) (Ovis orientalis).
