Threatened Species: The following list includes all mammals which occur in the Federated States of Micronesia and are rated as Critically Endangered (CR), Endangered (EN) or Vulnerable (VU) in the 2004 IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals.

• Critically Endangered:
  • Chuuk Flying Fox (Pteropus insularis). (Endemic to Micronesia.)
  • Mortlock Islands Flying Fox (Pteropus phaeocephalus). (Endemic to Micronesia.)
  • Pohnpei Flying Fox (Pteropus molossinus). (Endemic to Micronesia.)
• Endangered:
  • Marianas Flying Fox (Pteropus mariannus).
  • Polynesian Sheath-tailed Bat (Emballonura semicaudata).
• Vulnerable:
  • Dugong (Dugong dugon).
