Threatened Species

Threatened Species: The following list includes all mammals which occur in Kyrgyzstan and are rated as Critically Endangered (CR), Endangered (EN) or Vulnerable (VU) in the 2004 IUCN Red List of Threatened Animals.

Endangered:
- Alai Mole Vole (Ellobius alaicus). (Endemic to Kyrgyzstan.)
- European Bison (Bison bonasus). (Introduced populations.)
- Snow Leopard (Uncia uncia).
- Tiger (Panthera tigris).
Vulnerable:
- Argali (Ovis ammon).
- Dhole (Cuon alpinus).
- Eurasian Otter (Lutra lutra).
- Lesser Horseshoe Bat (Rhinolophus hipposideros).
- Menzbier's Marmot (Marmota menzbieri).
